Warrendale (1967)
Probably my most favourite Canadian film of all time and my most favourite documentary of all time. A cinema verité flick looking at the first group home in Canada, where instead of drugging the kids they’re trying a new form of therapy that involves wrestling pinning kids and forcing them to talk through their feelings. The film forces absolutely no opinion on you, and makes it really difficult to tell if the method is unnecessarily barbaric or incredibly merciful.
